What I teach & How I teach

Spoken
Kannada

If you're not a Kannada speaker but would love to learn the Kannada language for daily conversations, Yashaswi Kannada Vaani platform is here to assist you.

I always emphasize, "Stop asking, 'Do you know Kannada?' Instead, say, 'I shall teach you Kannada'. Learning the spoken form of a new language is a gradual process, which is why I encourage my students to take their time in this learning journey.

My teaching approach begins with introducing the basics, vocabulary, verbs, grammar, sentence formation, and much more. This approach helps students stay focused, comfortable, and confident.

I customize and design the course for stress-free learning, which is the key to my success. I've trained native speakers of different languages from around the world, ranging in age from 6 to 60.

Academic
Kannada

Kannada language has been made mandatory in all schools in Karnataka, which has posed challenges for many non-Kannada speakers when teaching their kids.

This is where I stepped in to make Kannada learning easy and effortless. My teaching begins with the basics, and students gain confidence and comfort as their foundation becomes strong.

I design and implement unique workshops, syllabi, and structures, which are the key factors for progress and success.

Yoga for beginners

I'm a yoga practitioner and a certified yoga instructor (holding a 200hr certificate) currently pursuing a 300hr certification. I practice Hatha yoga and Iyengar yoga. Additionally, I teach PATANJALI YOGA SUTRAS to yoga teachers.

My approach to yoga is distinct. I plan sequences based on students' health and requirements. During the initial months, the primary focus is on flexibility, stability, and improving stamina for holding poses (asanas). More time is dedicated to helping students understand their unique bodies and mind power.

I firmly believe in Patanjali's words, 'Sthiram Sukham Asanam,' which translates to 'Holding a pose without movement helps build stability and brings happiness.' I assist students in gaining confidence, trusting their bodies, and cultivating positive energy. The rest naturally follows.

I personally believe that this training methodology offers numerous physical and mental advantages.

Shloka, Stotram & Mantra

I grew up in a family where slokas and mantras were mandatory, with no excuse to skip. Due to the intense and rigorous training by my Appa (Father), I can now deliver flawless slokas and mantras to my students. I believe shloka is for everyones wellbeing and no one should discriminate the chanting of shlokas.

When teaching Shlokas, the primary focus is on pronunciation, tone of voice, and voice culture of the student. What sets my shloka class apart is that I never begin with chanting; instead, I teach the shlokas first with the correct pronunciation.

Teaching the correct way to pronounce letters and words helps students learn more easily and enables fluent chanting.

These workshops are long-term programs that allow students to learn at their own pace.

I request patience, dedicated practice, and hard work from every student, as these are essential for building interest and confidence in the subject.
